  1. Man City looked impressive in all aspects of their game against Liverpool. Liverpool looked good for long periods except when the ball was on the edge of their penalty box. One striker upfront also ‘saddled’ them. On the defensive end, Brendan Rodgers have work on his hands to get the defence sorted out or else this season could see a repeat of the 5o goals conceded last season. With someone like Glen Johnson in the defence over Manquillo it is going to be a long road ahead. One game will not determine Liverpool’s season, so I expect them to rebound and get stronger as the season progresses and the new recruits blend into Brendan’s system.

    1. I was only able to listen via the radio.. seemed that Liverpool were somewhat the better team but were unable to capitalise. Seems that Jovetic could be the steal of the transfer window (by just not selling him).

Glad to see the team just outside of Manchester struggling against the likes of Sunderland – wondering how long the turtle will try and force his 3-5-2 on everyone.
